Brianna's Bandwagon: The Podcast launched in June 2021 as an extension of the blog a way to bring the same personal storytelling into audio format. What started as a creative experiment became a 20+ episode show covering cancer survivorship, disability advocacy, college life, and personal growth, distributed across iHeart, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
What I Built
I handled every aspect of the podcast independently. On the production side: concept development, episode planning, scripting, recording, editing, and publishing across platforms. On the brand side: designing the cover art, creating a visual system for episode graphics, and producing promotional assets for social media distribution.
The cover art was designed from scratch an illustrated figure against a teal and blush palette that extended the Bandwagon brand into a new format while feeling distinct from the blog. Each episode graphic followed a consistent template system I developed in Canva, adapted per episode to suit the topic and mood while staying recognizably on-brand.
The content itself spanned advocacy topics like Disability Pride Month and my pneumonectomy surgery and recovery, lifestyle episodes on dorm life and leaving your comfort zone, and personal milestone episodes like one year living with one lung. Producing episodes across that range of subject matter required real sensitivity knowing how to frame difficult personal topics in a way that serves an audience, not just documents an experience.
